Creation, Concept of God and Death in Dayak Ngaju Culture

But before that time, at 1718, Daniel Beekmann an England officer reported that a padre from Pourtugese came to Kalimantan inland, but before he accomplished his mission, he was murdered by local people 1 . Tjilik Riwut in his book “Maneser Panatau Tatu Hiang” stated that Dayakness people were so strong to hold their ancestor belief, Kaharingan Religion before the missionaries come. Because of the indefatigable efforts of the missionaries, the dayakness people know the gospel and by the time the people are converted to Christian.
